The Menstruation Research Conference 2026 programme & abstract book is now available!
The conference will take place on 7-8 July 2026 and will feature a diverse range of oral presentations, posters, workshops, roundtables, performances, interactive activities, and keynote sessions from researchers, practitioners, policymakers, activists, educators, artists, and community organisations from around the world.
The programme reflects the breadth of contemporary menstruation research and practice, covering topics including:
- Menstrual health, mental health and wellbeing
- Menstrual movement and physical activity
- Menstrual products, access, design, health and sustainability
- Menstrual dignity, inequality and stigma
- Menstrual policy
- Menstrual literacy and education
- Interactive stalls, exhibitions and activities
Please note that the programme may be subject to minor updates and changes prior to the conference. We encourage attendees to check this page periodically for the latest version.
Guidelines for oral presentations:
Oral presentations (online, in person, and pre-recorded, except for keynote) will be 10 minutes, including 7 minutes presenting and 3 minutes for questions. To keep presentations to time we recommend one slide per minute – 7 slides in total. We request that you upload your slides (or video if sharing a pre-recorded presentation) to the Oral presentations Dropbox by June 30th (please do not email your slides!). Please include your name and presentation session ID in the file name (e.g., FirstName_Surname_MH_01).
Guidelines for in person poster presentations:
To encourage sustainability, we welcome any posters or banners that you may have already printed. If you do not have a previous poster to use, we recommend posters be A2 size and portrait orientation. Posters will be on display for the entire duration of the conference; however, you will have been assigned one of the days to ‘present’ your poster (see programme). This will involve standing near your poster during the breaks for discussions. We have assigned days to minimise crowding and noise around the posters. We will also host posters online (see details below in ‘Guidelines for online poster presentations’) and you are welcome to share a digital version of your poster with us for further engagement with in person and online attendees; however, this is not mandatory.
Guidelines for online poster presentations:
The online posters will be hosted on Padlet which enables other attendees to view your poster and post questions that you can reply to. Please upload your digital poster (jpg/ or pdf file) to the Virtual posters Dropbox by June 30th. Please include your name in the file name (e.g., FirstName_Surname).
Guidelines for round tables, workshops, and stalls:
The timing for your session will be outlined in the programme. Please note some of the workshops have been split across a break so you may have Part 1 and Part 2 shown on the programme.
Stalls will be in the social space for the duration of the conference. Round tables and workshops in the main rooms will have a screen available and, if you have slides you wish to share, please upload these to the Round tables / workshops / stalls Dropbox by June 30th. Please include your name and presentation session ID in the file name (e.g., FirstName_Surname_RT_01). Stalls and workshops scheduled in the social space may not have screen access – please reach out if this is essential for your session and we will attempt to source this. You are welcome to bring any other materials you wish.
We look forward to welcoming you to Brighton and online for two days of discussion, learning, collaboration, and celebration of menstrual health research.
