Menstruation Research Conference 2026

Co-hosted by 4M Consortium and MRN

Join us for two days of menstruation research in Brighton on the 7th and 8th of July 2026

The Menstruation Research Conference 2026 will be co-hosted by 4M (Menarche, Menstruation, Menopause & Mental Health) Consortium and the Menstruation Research Network (MRN) at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School, University of Sussex, on the 7th and 8th July 2026.

We look forward to bringing together researchers, clinicians, industry partners, policymakers, charities, artists, and community voices. The conference will explore menstruation as a psychosocial, biomedical and environmental experience across the life course.

For more information, please see our Conference Information page.

Abstract submissions are now closed

In-person registration has closed.

Online only registration is open until 2nd July

We regret that at this late stage we are no longer able to provide refunds as the costs have already been incurred.

We are seeking partners to help fund our conference and make it even more impactful.

As one of few regular global gatherings dedicated entirely to menstruation research, the conference brings together academics, practitioners, policy makers, artists, activists, and industry leaders to share groundbreaking work and challenge taboos around menstrual health, equity, and sustainability.

To make this possible, we are seeking partners, sponsors, and supporters to help fund this international, inclusive event.

4M and MRN receive no specific funding, and both networks are completely free to join. We therefore need additional support to ensure travel bursaries, accessibility measures, and sustainability commitments can be met.

By supporting this conference, you will help:

  • Advance gender equity and menstrual health research in the UK and beyond
  • Strengthen the role of menstruation researchers as integrated leaders in health, wellbeing, and sustainability
  • Build momentum towards inclusive policy change and global collaboration

Get involved:
We welcome inquiries from funders, journals, NGOs, and industry partners interested in sponsorship, stalls, or collaborative opportunities.

Together, let’s continue breaking menstrual taboos and build a future where menstrual health is central to wellbeing, policy, and sustainability.
